I didn’t check it for Shatnez because the salesman in the store told me it was Shatnez Free!
(I just went home from work to change my suit. as per the halacha of Poshto – V’afilu B’shuk)
What about polyester boys suits do they need to be checked?
As a son of a Shatnez tester, let me tell you that all men suits should be checked.
There’s no such thing as a salesman telling you it’s 100% Shatnez free. ANY suit can have Shatnez even if dozens of the same suit were found to be Shatnez free.
(In fact I know of a poly/viscose suit that was found to have Shatnez.)
Better safe than sorry when it comes to something you can be nichshal in all the time.
