VIDEO: A tractor trailer packed with several tons of Shaimos, went up in smoke late Sunday night. At about 11:45 PM, multiple firefighters responded to a large fire behind Minyan Shelanu, when an overturned tractor trailer packed with Shaimos, caught fire and quickly became engulfed in flames.
The fire was brought under control about 10 minutes later, and there were no injuries reported.
The Shaimos truck, one of several tractor trailers belonging to the Minyan, was reportedly overturned several weeks ago.
Park Avenue from 4th Street to Ocean Avenue, and Ocean Avenue from Park Avenue to the tracks, were closed for about 45 minutes.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The Fire Marshal responded to the scene. TLS-CAC/TLS-6466/TLS-CCP/TLS-60/TLS-62
Thank you R’ Abadi for this wonderful place. It is my home away from home.
oh no, oh no, oh no! This is not good, not good, not good!! It’s definitely a sign from H-shem! The three weeks are going to be upon us soon, coincidence?? I think not!
Why is a truck full of tashmushei kedusha being overturned?? why were these shaimos not buried yet?
And there’s still another trailer by Chateau Grand…. How come this shaimos wasn’t buried yet!?
hope there wasn’t any sifrei torah in there. All joking aside It is quite serious, and there are many questions to ask here.
The Trailers DO NOT belong to Minyan Shelanu.
I believe R’ Abadi is in a battle with the DEP and is waiting for them to give him an answer as to where the shaimos can legally be buried and therefor was storeing the shaimos in trailers till it can get burried.
Did the Minyan really need to give Yehuda Beer practice his first day on the job??
To # 6 he wasnt there.
