11: 20 a.m. The LPD has just issued summonses to several vehicles illegally parked in the Fire Lane. Being the beginning of a new Z’man, TLS would like to remind our readers, that unless your vehicle is a fire truck responding to a fire, parking in a fire lane is illegal and may get you a ticket. If there is a fire, your car will delay or prevent emergency personnel’s access to the scene.

If your parked were u shouldn’t be u deserve a ticket
The church on madison & Main never gets ticketed for all cars parked in the “NO STANDING ZONE” only BMG
I FULLY AGREE WITH THE 2ND COMMENT
should you ever pass by route 88 on a sunday morning youll find quiet a few illegally parked cars who never get tickets??why not its no diffrent then a yeshiva=aka house of worship??
of course no one’s car is going to get ticketed for being in a no standing zone, there’s no one standing around the car
#2 you can park in a no standing zone – u just can’t stand in it trying to get a ride.
a fire zone is no parking anytime. fire vehicles only. what if theres a fire and the truck cna’t get close to the building cause someone parked their car and now can’t be located.
to #2——-
With all due respect sir, it sounds like it would be a good practice for you to stop looking at ‘yenem’, especially in such a situation. Don’t forget that “eisav sonei es yaakov” and we are in golus and this is one thing that you will not be able to prevent. The police officers have every single right to ticket any vehicle that is parked illegally. If you want to avoid getting a ticket, don’t park there. It will not help to complain about the Church on Madison Ave. Please, grow up.
What people need to understand is that bmg doesn’t want people parking in the fire lane.
I’m seeing a lot of tickets being given to those who park to close to the corner by Fifth & Forest (near Satmar)
The church on Madison & Main is a NO PARKING-NO STANDING ZONE but they never get tickets. only the BMG ones get ticketed.
y doesnt the lpd focus on catching ppl who break into other peoples houses instead of giving parking tickets!!!!
The church is once a week for a couple of hours. BMG on the other hand is 24/7
Don’t make this a descrimination issue.
Guess what folks. We are not above the law! Why don’t we just obey parking, driving and other laws instead of pouting like 2 year old kids that it’s not fair cuz he didn’t get a ticket and I did.
THey should ticket every single seder – it would be a tremendous chesed. As it stands, guys take a chance thinking that there’s a decent chance that they won’t be ticketed. If they knew that they would receive a ticket 100% of the time, they’d never risk it. Ticketing every seder would save a considerable amount of yiddishe gelt.
U deserve the ticket and u got one ! Learn how and were to park
Hello? Why don’t you just park next to the chruch and then you won’t get ticketed?
Or else drive a fire truck and you can park in the fire lane.
