(The following is an email sent out to thousands of senior residents by Mr. Bill Hobday). Residents,
As you know, Tuesday, April 20, 2010 is election day for candidates for the Lakewood School District.  Please exercise your right and privilege to vote for candidates of your choice. Voting will be conducted at the Clubhouse and the polls will be open between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM.  A familiar candidate for the School Board  is Carl Fink, a resident of The Enclave and a current member of the Lakewood Township Planning Board. 

I try not to get into the political spectrum, but the School Board is a non partisan election where candidates are not supported by political parties. Candidates prevail or fail based on their record and/or promises.  Carl and his team of running mates believe that they can and will make a difference.  They believe that they can be instrumental in reducing spending, redirecting spending to the most critical issues, and bringing about transparency and fairness. If elected, will they be able to keep some, many or all promises?  I don’t know.  However, I do know that they may be our best chance to go after and hopefully achieve some or many of these goals.  I chatted with Carl about his goals and objectives and he convinced me that his team is prepared to begin a dramatic turnaround for the Lakewood School District.  I believe that they deserve our support.
