Sen. Menendez: Razor Wire Fence at Border Threatens the Lives of Vulnerable Migrants

U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) today issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision granting the Biden administration’s request to vacate the Fifth Circuit Court injunction in the Texas border razor-wire case – clearing the way for federal officials to remove physical impediments to the border placed there by Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s administration:

“This is a victory for the rule of law and the protection of vulnerable migrants seeking refuge in America. The Supreme Court rightfully stopped Texas from erecting draconian razor wiring that threatened the lives of vulnerable migrants and prevented border officials from doing their jobs. Our border deserves real solutions, not bumper sticker boondoggles meant to unnecessarily and inhumanely endanger the lives of migrants.”

  1. In other news, criminals at the maximum security prison demand that the razor wire and armed guards be removed at once, owing to being a threat to their venerable lives since they are all 1000% innocent!

  2. Resign already. Your comment makes about as much sense as what you told law enforcement about why you had so much cash and gold bars in your house.

  3. Mr. Menendez is currently facing bribery and corruption charges for allegedly taking bribes from the governments of Egypt and Qatar, and receiving in exchange gold bars, cash, a luxury car and Formula One Grand Prix race tickets. And somewhere between juggling all these wonderful activities, he found time to push out the brilliant statement shown above.
