PHOTO: This afternoon, a Ksivas Sefer Torah was held at the home of Lakewood’s Dr. Reuven Shanik. The Sefer Torah, to benefit Yeshivas Derech Chaim, had its first Osios written by Gedolim in Eretz Yisroel including Harav Elyashiv, Harav Chaim Kanievsky, Harav Shteinman and Harav Chaim Pinchos Shteinberg.

The campaign was intended to honor the the Yeshiva’s founding member and virtual pillar of the Yeshivah, R’ Dovid Yarmush Z’L.

The Sefer Torah was now brought back to America and will be continued to be written at the homes of Yeshivah Derech Chaim supporters and alumni across the region, offering others a chance to participate in the Sefer Torah.
