Search For Missing Great Neck Man Now In Fourth Day, Officials See Signs Of Life

search chaveirimAlthough a standard Search & Rescue mission may have by now turned into a Recovery mission, officials are hopeful and see signs of life for Steven Mayer, the 65 year old Great Neck man who went missing Monday morning. An officials tells TLS that Mr. Mayer was spotted by a Hospital worker and others, but did not realize he was missing, until they read about it in the news.

“That’s why it’s important we get it out to the Media”, the official tells TLS. “The more people who recognize him, the bigger the chance is of getting him home safely”

The official says that a massive re-deployment of search groups was organized last night, as they move in on an approximately 50 mile radius in the Great Neck area they believe Mayer has been circulating in.

Additionally, a separate team has been deployed to hang up posters in the surrounding public areas.

The command center has moved to the Great Neck Synagogue at 26 Old Mill Rd.

“At this time, all the manpower they can get is extremely helpful”, the official says.

The hotline number is 347-927-7701.
