  1. Drivers are checking. But these scooters are going up 35 MPH. Unlike a bike, the first thing going into traffic isn’t the front wheel but the rider. There’s no way to see that in time and stop. It’s genuinely terrifying at night.

  2. In this specific accident that happened at around 12.00 pm (was there at the scene) it was the scooter rider that actually knocked into the car that was waiting at the stop sign on Valley and Central. Driver of car was totally not at fault. Thankfully the boy on the scooter (a very nice boy indeed) was ok!

  3. These scooters are a problem, I avoided collisions with 3 this week, Locust St. is a ride free zone they just ride out from between cars or weaving over the fog line. Driving is tough enough with the idiots in 4-wheel metal projectiles, running stop signs and creating their own lanes.

  4. Scooterests need to learn the laws, they ride with traffic and must obey all traffic laws, including stop signs and traffic lights.
