A small school bus overturned on the GSP today.

The accident happened in the area of mile marker 96 shortly before 11:00 AM.

UPDATE: The NJSP released the following statement to TLS:

Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 10:36 a.m. on the Garden State Parkway North at milepost 95.8 in Wall Township, Monmouth County.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a BMW passenger vehicle and a school bus were traveling north when they collided. The collision caused the school bus to run off the roadway to the left, strike the guardrail, and overturn.

The driver of the school bus, who was the sole occupant, sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
