Satmar Dayan Undergoes Successful Heart Surgery; Still in Need of Tefillos

Satmar-Dayan-Shlita-Lakewood tlsThe Satmar Dayan of Lakewood, Harav Mordechai Betzalel Klein Shlita, underwent a successful triple bypass surgery yesterday, but the family is requesting the community still continue to be Mispallel for a full recovery.

The Rav is expected to remain in the hospital for another week, the family says.

  1. If there is a yud after the vov, it must be pronounced Toy-ba. Skipping the yud and saying Toba is a totally different name (Tova).

  2. I just spoke to a close family member and who also explained to me the pronounciation of yidish words spelled as such.

    Its clear that the name is spelled TOYBA with a Yud. Chassidim pronounce words as such without the Yud and Litfish pronounce with the Yud For example the word “Arois” (outside) Chassidim pronounce Aros and litfish pronounce “Arois”

    SO BOTH ARE RIGHT.
    For Chassidim pronounced: TOBA
    For Litfish pronounced: TOIBA
