The Sanz Klausenburg school in Lakewood last night received local zoning board approvals for the construction of a third floor, expanding the building beyond its initial two-floor design.
When the property was initially purchased, it had received approval for only two floors. However, recognizing the growing needs of the school, the administration pursued a zoning amendment to allow for the addition of a third floor.
After careful consideration and evaluation of the testimony, along with support from neighbors, the zoning board last night granted their request, paving the way for the expansion project to begin.
The building will boast 21 classrooms, a lunchroom, administration offices and special education rooms.
Construction is set to begin in the next couple of months.
