Sadigura rebbe visiting lakewood picPHOTOS & VIDEO: Last night, the Rebbe of Sadigur visited Lakewood for a few hours. The Rebbe, from Tel Aviv, is currently in America for the wedding of a grandchild. The Rebbe came to Lakewood for the Bar Mitzvah of Moishy Halpern, son of R’ Yanky Halpern which took place at Khal Zichron Yaakov, Rabbi Gissinger’s Shul.

Following the Bar Mitzvah, the Rebbe attended a private event at the home of one of his grandchildren who resides in Lakewood.

The Sadigura Rebbe Shlita, is one of the biggest ‘Yachsonim’ alive today, as he is a direct descendant – Ben Achar Ben – of the Ruzhiner. (1797-1850).

The Ruzhiner, known as “the holy one from Ruzhin”, was the progenitor of several Chasidic dynasties known collectively by the name Ruzhin.

As the son of Rebbe Sholom Shachne of Prhobisht, who was the son of Rabbi Avraham HaMalach, Rabbi Yisroel Friedman was a direct descendant of Rabbi Dov Ber, the Maggid of Mezritsh who was the main disciple of the Baal Shem Tov.

His six sons all established Chasidic dynasties, which include Sadigura, Boyan, Chortkov, Husyatin and Bohush.

Approximately 2 months ago, the son of the Rebbe, Reb Yisroel Moishe Friedman Shlita – who serves as the Rav of Sadigura in Golders Green, England – held a Tisch in Lakewood in honor of the Ruzhiner’s 160th Yahrtzeit.

Maan Malchi: Rabannan. When the Tzadikim would stand in awe of the Heilige Ruziner, you can be sure it wasn’t for the “Gold Shoes”.
