Though the heated softball season playing in the Lakewood Ball Association (LBA) had come to an end, Team Roth&Co was not about to kick off their cleats.
Zacharia Waxler, CPA, Managing Partner at Roth&Co – a top-150 accounting and advisory firm in the U.S. – received a call from Michael MacIntyre of Citizens Bank – one of the nation’s oldest and largest financial institutions. Michael invited Zacharia, a long-standing acquaintance, to join him for some friendly, corporate competition.
The two financial champions orchestrated the details for a Roth&Co vs. Citizens Bank softball game to take place in Lakewood on August 29th. Citizens Bank booked flights to NJ for what turned out to be an incredible event, including family-friendly activities for Roth&Co employees’ families. “It wasn’t just the 14-0 score that energized our players,” said Zacharia. “It was also the opportunity to make an incredible kiddush Hashem. Shortly after the game, Michael conveyed to me that he had never experienced such camaraderie and professionalism in all his years of joint executive corporate programs.”
Roth&Co Team Captain Yaakov Kroll commented that, “Despite Citizens’ loss, the atmosphere was warm, exciting and a lot of fun for all participants.”
