  1. I heard Hatzolahs Extrication/Rescue truck didn’t start so hatzolah used the tools from the EMS rig that has them on board and was on scene. Do you think any “private” service has those tools on their rigs and would work so well side by side. Way to go EMS and Hatzolah !!

  2. doe sit matter what hatzolah did and …, it sounds so pathetic what people post. Be happy you have Hatzolah, my teacher died because the EMS took so long when will all this cvetching stop

Was that in Lakewood or elsewhere ?
If it was in lakewood be more specific without mentioning names. If you’re gonna make accusations and allegations like that you better be able to back it up with FACTS.

  4. As a firefighter/EMT, I speak from experience. That scene was totally UNSAFE!!!! Civilians walking in the scene, LPD doesn’t say anything until an LEMS employee says to clear the area.
Active extrication on an un-stabilized vehicle. Lakewood EMS arrives on scene, sees an issue and has to act to avoid a possible catastrophic event. As the Hatzola member is cutting the windshield you can see the vehicle move. No one secured the vehicle and it could have fallen on the rescuer and further injured the patient.
An unprotected person, possibly a Hatzola member, leaning over into the “UNSECURED VEHICLE”.
This comes with training and the desire to further their education, something that generally is not found in private services. The average EMT working for private services is between 18 and 25 years old and generally transporting to make money while going to school.
No, the private EMS agency will not be extricating and Hatzola would defiantly not turn away the call to help, but it saddens me to know people are willing to put a price on a person’s life.

Thank you TLS for showing the public the way it may be.

I’m afraid # 8 is correct – you get what you pay for I much rather give up my garbage collection or other services to have a experienced EMS squad working together with Hatzola to protect the town. I don’t want some “Walmart”private transport outfit staffed with new techs just out of EMT school on their first job in the EMS field for $10/hour
There’s no substitute for experience when it come to health matters and I’m willing to pay to get experienced people.

  6. WHAT ARE YOU ALL ARGUEING ABOUT? LETS JUST BE HAPPY THAT OUR HIGHLY TRAINED &PAID EMS/PD ARE BEING USED TO THEIR FULLEAST CAPASITY JUST LOOK AT THE OTHER ASPECTS OF SERVICE THEY’RE PROVIDING NOW THANKS TO MR.LANGERT, HE HAS THEM CLEANING UP THE STREET WHAT A WONDERFUL SERVICE THEY DONE USEING THEIR OWN BACKS. IM SO PROUD OF EMS DOING WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO KEEP THEIR JOBS. BUT WHO WILL BE PAYING FOR THEIR RECOVERIES FROM BACK SURGERY?? I GUESS ITS A CATCH 22. GOOD JOB EMS/PD FOR BEING SO UNPROFESSIONAL ON THE SCOOP.

  7. to number 5, the reason ur teacher died is bc GOD called and he answered. dont blame them unless u saw them kill him. IF everyone would get off there cell phones and move when THEY try to get through. hey guess what! IT WILL NOT TAKE THEM AS MUCH TIME. THE POEPLE THAT SAY ITS A GOYISH AMBULANCE I DONT HAVE TO MOVE, GUESS WHAT, THEY TRANSPORT EVERYONE, PLEASE MOVE TO THE SIDE AND LET THEM PASS.

  8. ff/emt could be he has an axe to grind or not but that extracation was done wrong! As you can clearly see by the fact that all it took was 2 people!! to turn it back over that car was not stable! nothing was stopping it from falling while extracating! Please remember to keep yourself safe while helping others, it would not have been impressive if a hatzalah member got hurt on such a scene.

  9. soooo who ran a light or a stop sign, its the ONLY thing that explains this type of accident. Its a shame that 90% of these are avoidable, except for the arrogant, inconsiderate people who have a disregard for driving rules and laws.
