As first reported here on TLS, Robert L. Fair – the suspect who committed numerous burglaries around Lakewood – was arrested yesterday. Today, Fair has been charged with three burglaries. The following details of the arrest and charges, was sent to us by Police Chief Rob Lawson:
Robert L. Fair, age 40, from 121 East Kennedy Blvd, Lakewood, NJ was arrested on a warrant by Lakewood Police Patrol officers on Tuesday morning. Fair was located by Officer Michael Zwick as Fair attempted to hide under a pile of clothes in the bedroom of his residence. The warrant was signed by Det. Oscar Valmon for the July 17th 5:30 am burglary and theft of 1398 Forest Ave. in which the Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch (LCSW) assisted the police by obtaining confirming evidence of Fair’s involvement. Bail was set at $50,000 with a 10% option.
Det. Daniel Tworkoski then charged Fair with the August 4th 6:39 am burglary and theft from 116 East 9th St. Bail was set at $25,000 no options.
The investigation continued and, on August 11th, Det. Valmon was able to charge Fair with the August 5th 5:30am Aggravated Burglary, Theft, and Robbery of a residence in which a young housewife was assaulted and a large amount of cash was taken. The housewife did not suffer any injury. Bail was set at $150,000 no options.
