bikur cholim[COMMUNICATED] By L. Halevi: Today at 2pm, began a 24 hour marathon of giving, raising money for Lev Rochel Bikur Cholim and their remarkable services!

Lev Rochel Bikur Cholim of Lakewood, the organization that assists Cholim and their loved ones with many services virtually 24/7, is one of the organizations that will be participating in this campaign. The funds raised by this campaign have been earmarked specifically for a new fleet of special wheel-chair accessible transportation vehicles needed to transport Cholim and their families their families. Every year Bikur Cholim provides rides to thousands of people who need to get to and from hospitals and doctor appointments, and the need for new vehicles at this time is vital.

R’ Yehuda Kasirer, Executive Director of Lev Rochel Bikur Cholim of Lakewood, is very passionate about the organization which he runs with a dedicated group of indefatigable staff and volunteers. “365 days a year the staff and volunteers of Bikur Cholim carry the burden of the sick in our community” says Rabbi Kasirer, “ Their dedication and love for every Jew is unparalleled. They literally don’t cease to amaze me, and the feedback we get from patients about how we enhanced their lives and gave them Chizuk, is a prime source of Chizuk for all who have the Zechus to be involved with Bikur Cholim”

This campaign, using the Hashtags #ShareTheBurden and #RideTheWave – aims to garner community-wide support which will collectively be used to infuse LRBCLwith the much needed Chizuk to carry on with their missions and help continue giving over 17,000 ides a year!.

As with other Charidy campaigns, its success will be reliant on the generosity and involvement of the individual members of Jewish communities from around the world. Every dollar donated will be matched by 3 benevolent matchers, ensuring that the power of every donation is quadrupled.

Look out in your email inbox and on various Jewish websites for the start of the campaign and get ready to #RideTheWave and #ShareTheBurden
