Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held For Downtown Parking Lot

ribbon_cutting_ceremony_downtown_parking_lot_tlsVIDEO: A ribbon cutting ceremony was held this afternoon for the opening of a downtown parking lot. The parking lot, on 1st Street between Lexington and Clifton Avenues, was purchased and paved by the proprietor of Lexington Towers, David Zions, in order to accommodate the parking for Lexington Towers residents and visitors, and alleviate parking in the crowded downtown area.

The Mayor, as well as Committeeman Ray Coles thanked Zions for making the parking lot, despite the Township ordinance not requiring him to do so.

“I’d like to thank the owners of the Tower, the engineering department for making this a reality and for taking care if the concerns of the people of Lakewood before profits”, Committeeman Coles said.

The Mayor also thanked Kevin Kiel and Jeff Stager of the Engeneering Department who were instrumental in getting the parking lot done in a swift manner.

Also in attendance, was Mayor of Bnei Brak Yaakov Asher and his Deputies, who are visiting Lakewood for the day.

The purchase of the parking lot was brokered by Imperial Real Estate.

The parking lot added 31 spaces to the current 45 spaces the Tower owns. TLS -CCP.

Dudi Zions is a good guy! He did not need to provide a parking lot for his building yet he chose to do so on his own. More developers should see and try to emulate.

the real credit goes to the Mayor and township engineer for expediting the construction of this parking lot.

The downtown cartel should take a lesson. Instead of demanding favors and special treatment from the tax payers to fund their customer parking need’s they should pay for it themselvs like every other normal business.
