  1. If you have farm animals on your property you can claim that it is farm land and end up paying almost no property taxes! I actually know of a person in Lakewood who did this. ask your CPA

  2. I know that most people in this town don’t know what it means to own a pet, so they will make all the funny jokes while this poor girl is heart broken, why cant you all show a bit of sensitivity?? Thank you to T.L.S. for putting up this story and I hope it helps someone find the goat.

  3. They have it for less then a month and she is heartbroken? WOW
Maybe this was their answer to the shiduch crisis – she was looking for a shaifelah and got one.

  4. to Kim: I don’t know if you can buy a farm animal and claim you live on a farm. If your property isn’t zoned for farming it is illegal to own livestock. I’d like to have a cute little goat or a lamb, but, what would I do with them when they get big, then they’re not so cute anymore.
