As earlier reported, the Township Planning Board is expected once again to pass the Master Plan, but with revisions. Some of the contingencies included the widening of several major roads, including Route 9, Cross Street, Pine Street, Prospect Street and more. They also discussed changing back some of the high density areas to low density.

No it’s not a few more houses. It’s more than that.
Gotta love how the same people who don’t like the plan also moved to lakewood wanting to live here with all the conveniences, but when others want houses it’s suddenly not okay?
I personally think the quicker we get over with this the less of a chillul hashem there will be.

Actually, I don’t have anything to do with any builders in town. I just observe what’s going on. It’s very sad.
Talking about chillol hashem, how about we stop fighting (especially in public forums) and if you have an issue with someone, contact them and speak with them. What gives someone the permission to call people out in public? Are there no halachos anymore?

I actually heard about this as well. Nothing new that machlokes is fire (anyone remember korach?)..but chazara is good. Don’t mean to point fingers, but take a look at (moderated) and (moderated) 2 examples of people everyone knows. They thought they were smarter than the torah rabbonim and look at them today. Nuff said.
One thing everyone new would never change!! More houses and more money for the developers!!!! Drive around Lakewood guys this place was turned into a clogged drain.
I think the master plan is great. You look at any city that is growing, there are major traffic issues. It’s a fact of life and get used to it. We need more housing in order to keep the prices down. People against it are just bored people who only want to complain. Maybe they should spend their free time learning or doing chesed the world would be a better place for it.

Poppa, you’re making a vastly uninformed assumption. My family has been in this town for 4 generations, to a time before Rockefeller and Gould, and I am against this master plan.
If Cross Street is not dualised at the expense of the developers, prior to the completion of a property with over 1800(!) inhabitable units, it will be a complete travesty.
