A retired computer department manager with the NY Times for 25 years will be giving a class at the new Learn & Network Kollel next week, founder Duvi Honig tells TLS. The retired manager – a Frum man – will be teaching basic computer skills at Learn & Network’s new program.
“We just got started and have seen a lot of interest”, Honig says, “and we have many exciting classes planned” he says.
Another planned networking class will include a presentation by JVC and Cannon who will be giving a seminar – with an equipment demonstration – to teach participants how to create jobs or improve their profession with new technology.
Other upcoming classes will include a seminar from the U.S. importer of Wii, a seminar from a patent lawyer, a round-table discussion with lawyer Abe Penzer, and more.
“There is freshly brewed coffee with pastries available at all times, and the Kollel is geared for all ages” says Honig.
The program, which is intended for those with skills seeking to build their own business and for those shifting from Kollel to the work field, begins at 4:00 p.m., and the networking program at 6:00 p.m.
The Kollel began last week, (as reported here on TLS), is located at the new Chavrei Hakollel Campus at 911 Somerset Avenue.
