Question? is he collecting a pension now and will he be entitled to another now? if so isnt that double dipping?
The answer is yes he will be collecting a pension from his first job…no, there is no pension for this new position. That would be against the law.
boy, that didnt take long. already someone complaining about money. how about you say thank you, and appreciate that there is a competant security team protecting the children in school.
Go Stillwell! We love you!
John deserves 10 pensions for taking on the High school and Middle School… He was a great Cop….Go John Go!!!!!!!!
You question John for a possible double dipping BUT the BOE Attorney that’s OK no problem no question…….
No double pension, no benefits, hasn’t stepped foot into a school in over 27 years. I hope he hires magicians………
This is the best news I’ve heard in Lakewood in too many years.
In one day there trying to put little little kids in the middle school with older kids and the next day they hire an armed security officer…………just more to the point of why the middle school should have never even been considered for a k-8.
Go John i always knew you would keep doing something you like which is to do right and keep order GOOD LUCK
i am sure this man will bring to the schools what we all want and that is safety for our kids. This also is the same man who at his retirement said he left the police department heavy hearted because he didn;t solve a murder.. A man of passion and the will to help our schools
John was a great cop and is a Big Mensch. He’ll get the job donme RIGHT !!. Best decision BOE made in a loooonnnggggg time.
working 3 jobs, is triple dipping. Thats not addressed, only double.
Is still the same John Stillwell thats a firefighter
I miss you John
I’ll tell you what…….you’d better get stepping straight to class…………
t0 #14 that’s his brother
John, you will a true asset to the children of Lakewood. I as a member of board thank you for accepting the position
Rumor has it that they offered the position to someone else but that they turned it down because of the way the board of education handles themselves.
So happy for you, you will do a great job protecting all the children
to #9 they were not going to turn the middle school into k-8 they were going to close the school and the other elementary school’s would be k-8, now they see it’s not a good idea and they will not close the school
205 In da house… god bless!!!
