TLS has learned that John Franklin – the former director of the Department of Public Works – will be returning to Lakewood’s planning board. Mr. Franklin has been a part of the planning board – as the paid employee of the Township, required for the planning board – for the last fifteen years, until he retired this past June. He will be replacing Angela Koutsouris – an unpaid position.
Other members of the board include, Michael Neiman, Carl Fink, Sen. Robert Singer, Menashe Miller, Republican candidate Aisik Akerman, Stanley Banas, Yechiel Herzl, Joshua Schmuckler and Enrique Percal.
John J. Jackson is the board’s attorney, Terence Vogt, PE,PP,CME, is the board’s engeneer and planner, and Kevin Kielt is the board’s Secretary and Administrator.
Is there a surplus of tax dollars? Why will a unpaid position be replaced by a paid position???
where does it say he will be paid. His previous position was paid.
He previously had the paid position. Now that he has retired, he will be taking over one of the unpaid positions.
It is an unpaid position. The planning board members don’t get paid at all.
