  1. This is rediculous! Lakewood’s congestion is bad enough as is . Sunset is one of the main arteries in this town.I’ve been suffering the entire summer with sunset closed having to sit on James. And now another 2 months. Can we get a day to day update on what work they did. It doesn’t seem like they have been making much progress!

  2. How do you know about the progress, Eli g? Can you see underground? I also live in the area. We always complain when the infrastructure doesn’t keep up with growth. So now we have to live with the inconvenience of improvements. It has to be done. At least the work is being done at night now.

  3. Eli,
The problem is: why is Sunset a main artery? Years ago it was a small quiet street. The reason is because Route 9 became impossible to drive on, especially the section between Central and James. In Lakewood we now have many main arteries, and are constantly doing ‘bypass surgery’ to avoid the main artery. IT’S TIME TO WIDEN ROUTE 9 ONCE AND FOR ALL. We have applied dozens of bandaids and wrecked the traffic in the entire town, just not to widen Route 9. And the longer it waits, the more expensive it gets and the less the State wants to pay for it.

  4. We live here near Sunset and have been one of many with no power it wasn’t knocked out they shut it from 8pm-4:30am with short notice one day the next day they did the same with no notice the letter they gave made no sense. And for who was upset about the traffic and happy it’s been done at night that’s because u don’t live here come take my house for the night. It’s unfair the noise is so loud kids and adults aren’t able to sleep kids are tired and so are parents we aren’t able to function elderly people that live here are also affected. Let’s see them cut your electric during homework time bath time and bedtime. Oh and try getting little ones to bed when your house is dark. They should be working during the day when everyone is at work or school this is a residential area give yourself more time if u need to get somewhere that’s Lakewood let them start at 10am-4
