Reminder: No Busing Today; Expect Heavy Traffic Around Town

school bus traffic rt 9 2015 tlsAs earlier reported, there will be no busing today due to the holiday. When doing carpool, give yourself extra time because traffic is expected to be heavy, adding to the Erev Shabbos rush.

Some girls schools opted out of the school day today to avoid the busing and carpooling issue.

Traffics pretty lite. Many families kept kids home today because only 2 hours school today. If we do lose bussing is that gonna be a reason to skip school on Fridays. If your kids wanna go to school then get them there.

Go check the roads between 11:45and 12:45.

Yes many schools did not open today. As it is the lakewood boe shorted the private schools Friday schedule and changed everyday schedule with false promises. Now the state monitor is claiming poverty?? Forcing a 9.5 million dollar deficit for referendum. Cut out other programs that are multi language, cut out rasies, cut out after school programs. There is enough to cut. Hey how about checking legal status of every child? Oh that’s not legal, so we pay for the undocumented families schooling.but we don’t benefit from our tax dollars because the first thing to do is cut bussing. Good luck.

The comment from crazy check all undocumented families …great idea!!!!
Oh how about couples not recognized by the state with out a legal marriage license taking advantage of N.J state funding as single parents showing entitlement assistance.
Just showing proof with a state marriage before getting assistance would pay busing.

I’m sure everyone had a good reason to keep their kids home or take them to school. Staying home and helping with Shabbos is great! Going to school is great also!

Thanks to toras Aaron who hired private busing for the way home, I didn’t have to go out at crunch time. And my son came home 15 minutes after dismissal time! I guess traffic wasn’t that bad 🙂

This is the problem with busing, why don’t your kids go to the same school? You should be going to 2 schools Boys and Girls. Why?
