New toll rates will take effect on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway at 12:00:01 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022.

After a series of public hearings, the NJTA Board of Commissioners approved annual increases of up to 3 percent in May 2020. The 3 percent increase for 2022 was included in the annual budget presentation made to the board on Nov. 23, 2021.

Revenue from the annual toll increases will support the improvements included in the NJTA’s long-term capital program.
