Does the carpool rate still apply for the Outerbridge? What is that rate?
Carpools should be charged more, they are cheating the system out of 3 tolls because they are sitting in one car. This is why they raise the tolls to make up the loss of these tolls. We need more cars to use the system, there are people that make their living selling parking spaces carpools are cheating them too….. Lets stop this nonsense get in your own car and drive! Lastly I need a raise!
Going to staten island if you go 3 times a minth get the commuter plan & it’s cheaper than carpool.
To Month: I tthink you’re mistaken, it’s not cheaper than carpool (although much cheaper than regular price).
Now this is what we call “highway robbery”!! In all seriousness, it is beyond ridiculous already with these toll hikes. I recall a few years ago when a few legislators made some noise when it was discovered the toll hikes were going to rebuild the Freedom Tower and in no way would benefit the bridges etc. Of course, it was just a bit of noise heard once, just to pacify their constituents, never heard about it again.
So….. How much will carpool be now that tolls went up???
