Red Cross Called in for Family Displaced By Fire

A home fire left a family displaced from their home this evening, officials say. The Mohawk Place fire was initially reported as a Chimney Fire at about 10 PM officials say, but upon arrival to the scene firefighters hit out a General Alarm due to fire in the roof and walls.

The fire was brought under control about 10 minutes later, but firefighters had to cut open the roof to douse the flames.

The Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced family.

There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marhsal’s Office. (TLS-46/TLS-50/TLS-00/TLS-CCP).
