A basketball game at the Lakewood Middle School was shut down after a teen brought realistic looking paintball guns to the school, sources tell TLS.
The incident occurred during the after-school basketball game between Lakewood and Point Pleasant when an opposing team student noticed what appeared to be two guns in another teen’s backpack, sources say.
Upon learning of the guns, the coach notified the principal, who in turn immediately implemented emergency procedures by halting the game and placing the students in the locker rooms, sources at the school said. The students, as well as the parents present at the game, were not immediately given the reason for the lockdown.
After identifying the student with the guns, the principal reportedly took possession of the back pack and located the realistic looking guns. The guns, sources tell TLS, were all black and resembled a real handgun.
The lockdown was lifted approximately 5-10 minutes later.
Police were called, and charges against the approximately 15 year old suspect are pending, officials tell TLS.

What would possibly possess someone to think this is a good idea???? Ridiculous!
Awesome!!!!
This kid is in good shape for the future, put him in jail for 20 years and kill his entire life!!!!!
btw great job to the principle, that was the right thing to do
so this is how we handle guns in a school ? we know this kid has guns so lets lock everyone in a locker room with him. does not seem very smart. do we not pay for armed security at the school ? we don t need kids locked in a small space with a gunman. we need the gunman taken out of the school !!!!!
Where does it say the kid was taken to the lockers with the players?
yea he should have community service for 120 hours
Ummm they were not his Guns for Oneee Why do everything got to be on this lakewood scoop and I was there to somebody put them in his book bag while he was leaving he should not be in Jail for something thats not his
