Dear Readers,
I would like to bring up a very critical issue. I was driving on Lexington this morning when I almost hit a carriage sticking out from between cars. The mother was trying to cross the road and stuck the carriage out to ‘inch out’ and cross when it becomes clear. Can I ask you, the mother, what were you thinking?? Why are you using your child’s life as your ‘inching out’ tool? If you would like to check if cars are coming, why don’t you stick out YOUR head-or at least use it. It’s not the first time I’ve seen this, but I think it’s about time people realize how dangerous this is.
Thank you for your time,
A concerned mother.

i think we should punish her by sending her to school on how to manage the safety of children
YES! I have seen that happen a number of times, even on busy streets
Why aren’t there any more than 2 comments???
and why do i see mothers driving around in mini vans with infants on their laps and toddlers jumping around from seat to seat?
i saw today a man driving in my complex to pick up his child from a playgroup without slowing down, don’t u know thats kids could be playing in the front yard, why didn’t u at least slow down?!
Yes this is true. I was once driving on Madison Avenue and two women were shmoozing while waiting to cross Madison. One of them had her stroller in the street! Mamesh on Route 9, while she waited (and shmoozed) in safety on the sidewalk. It was too much for me; I actually stopped my car (on Rt. 9) and showed her what she was doing.
