I saw how much the oilam appreciated Nachman Rosenberg’s rendition of Mikolos Mayim. I was very inspired by the way it was received (at least by the comments!) The music industry has been a a major whirlwind for the last number of years. It is very ironic to meet singers and producers who are looking for material for an upcoming album, and they turn down song after song and finally the long awaited album is out…..and lo and behold, you maybe have one song that is singable and the rest is pure junk! Need I say more?

I’ve been composing for some time now, this is a talent that hashem has given us, it seems strange we would need to come on to third party’s to get out there in today’s day of age, additionally the expense of producing your own material, when you can do so with social media today and have much greater exposure for a fraction of the price.
I believe there is a great amount of hidden talent that is not being produced cause of the above reasons.
What i would suggest that there should be a central website where you can post your songs.

Yaakov is a good freind of mine from Bais Medrash. In fact we would have Kumsitzin together back in the day with his cousin Yochi Shapiro of Acheinu. He is also the composer of the famous Ilan Ilan, sang by Abie Rottenberg on his frrst Aish album.

I agree with your comment. I was never interested though in putting out my own album because my voice (solo) will not sell any albums. When I was younger I was very interested in getting my songs out.
If you are interested in taking care of the details of a site to host everyone’s hidden talent – kol hakovod! Life is too busy for me and I can’t take on a project like that. Make sure you contact me after you get the site up so I can send you more songs!!

so sell it to a singer like Shwekey, boruch levine or other singers it a gorgeous song i would want it on someone album!!!!
