With the growth that we are seeing in our town each year and with the amount of new construction there is, be it rebuilding old streets up again or new construction of developments, there is a problem that needs to be fixed before we begin seeing tragedies Chas Vshalom.
As a service we offer our customers, we deliver many packages and gifts each night. Yet almost half of the addresses can not be found on a gps or ways. And the other half which were clearly told by the mechanical voice that we’ve reach our destination its practically impossible to find the house numbers as they are either black or dont exist!
We therefore began asking for details such as where is your street? which development? What number house? Questions whose answers many times dont match the physical directions. At times one delivery can take almost 20 minutes until the right house is found.
I couldnt help but wonder what happens when Hatzalah called? How do they find their way to an emergency in record breaking time? Or have these people not yet needed their services? It’s scary to think of the consequences of homes which to all the available technology simple look as if they dont exist?
For those who cant get better expensive lighting, at least put up those reflective numbers. For those who have mail boxes on the street a couple of number stickers can literally save a life!
Please don’t wait until its too late.
