Disgusting
Not disgusting. It’s a natural product. Infestation happens. That is why we are required to check.
Yuk!
TY for informing the Tzibbor. I never knew that I had to check Quinoa and I use it a lot. Tizku L’Mitzvos!
Ionce had this with barley. It looked like it was full of sand, but was bugs!!!
Also brown rice is commonly found to be infested these days. Something called booklice.
So is it ok to sift it, hoping the bugs are smaller than the sifter? Usually you expect the bugs to stay in the sifter…
If you sift it and you’re finding bugs don’t use the product. It’s infested. The point of sifting is not to get rid of the bugs but rather to check for infestation
What does the OU say?
