When I originally wrote my letter to TLS I forgot one thing. We in Lakewood have merited to have an angel in our midst! A person whose care and concern for the average, simple citizen knows no bounds. Even for something so simple as righting a wrong related to postage stamps! Menashe Miller, our wonderful committee member, read my letter on the Scoop, and immediately reached out to the editor, personally, to ask if he can help resolve the issue.
This morning, I stopped by the Lakewood municipal office, and a woman on Menashe’s staff handed me a package of standard Forever stamps to exchange for the holiday ones that I should not have received. Everyone was so gracious and kind.
Thank you Menashe Miller! I am proud to call Lakewood my home!
And thank you TLS for allowing our voices to be heard!

It’s these small things that make all the difference.
He is a very good man who goes out of his way to help EVERYONE. I like him a lot.
Happy this was all straightened out for you and so now you can get on to important things in life. . .
To #3:
You are missing the point. This was a small thing that made a difference. The writer originally wrote the letter to make others aware of the issue. The committeeman felt that he could assist this person no matter how small of an issue it may seem. That’s true leadership.
Caring about everyone and what makes a difference to them.
I’m confused exactly what the origin issue was? Is the issue that there are non Jews in the world we live in, aka galus, that celebrate their own holidays? Or is the issue that people feel it a need to find an issue with everything that is not to their beliefs and standards?
