To my dear brothers & sisters, Our sisters across the ocean, the nshei chayil of Eretz Yisroel, bentched licht a short time ago with tears on their faces and tefillos on their lips. They are begging Hashem for the safety of their husbands, brothers and sons in Gaza and for the safety of all of Klal Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel and around the world. They are begging Hashem for the ultimate Geulah, which seems so close yet so far away.
Our sisters specifically asked that we join them. Please, take time out of your hectic Friday to daven for our brothers on the front. Beg Hashem for the safe return of Haddar bed Chedvah Leah, the soldier who was kidnapped Thursday night.
Our boys are in a matsav that is even more dangerous than it was in the past few weeks. Do a chessed. Hold back your anger. And daven and cry when you bentch licht. Groups of women are getting together to say tehillim over Shabbos. Take the initiative and arrange one in your house.
May Hashem have much nachas from our achdus and may He answer our pleas. May we share in the Geulah very very very soon.
Good Shabbos,
Atara Lieber
Let us all do something very simple but powerful as a zechus for Haddar ben Chedva Leah. We know that “tzedaka tatzil mi’maves… charity saves from death.”
I am proposing that whoever reads this email should put some money in their tzedaka box as a zechus for this soldier to be found quickly and unharmed – either right before Shabbos or right after Shabbos – depending on when you read this email.
Please publicize this to others. It is such a simple thing to do – but b’ezras Hashem it should result in an amazing neis for Haddar ben Chedva Leah.
