classic case. e/o does s/t like that in their driving carear. he inched in to the intersection to make a left but cudnt make it until it turned red, so instead of staying in the intersection or backing up into the car in back of him he made sure there were no cars n made the left. these videos are redicilous.
#1 You are totally right!!! He adhered to all the correct driving laws!!!
HE WAS ALREADY IN THE INTERSECTION!!!!!!!!
If the guy is over the crosswalk line and he funishes the turn after it turns red, thays a legal turn. So, Im assuming its not that. I musta missed it. Thanx TLS for raising our driving awareness. I almost got run over by a lady in a minivan crosing the str in front of Coventry shul.
Do we see the same video?! The guy wasn’t blocking the intersection and he waited long after it was green in the other direction to go.
He waited way too long and he should have been further into the intersection to begin with.
Pretty weak.
Definitely a traffic violation. The car may have been past the stop line, but was not in the intersection. A red light is a red light. The driver simply hesitated, then decided to go for it. Common sense also tells you, when cars coming from the cross street are already proceeding, it is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to continue into the intersection because the other drivers, thinking that normal people respect a red light, are not as alert to the possibility that someone may go ahead through the intersection anyway.
I am always amazed that there are always people who will comment on a post showing clearly illegal and/or dangerous driving and say “its fine” or “none of your business”, etc. These are people who want to be able to make their own driving rules, such as going through an intersection after the light has clearly turned red by closely tailgating the last driver who “made it” through the intersection or the people who double park “only for a minute” or leave their kids unattended in a car “only for a minute” and so on. Stop rationalizing foolishness and the lack of consideration for the safety of other drivers.
This driver was clearly distracted….they had a long opportunity to make the left turn. Waiting till light turned red, after they clearly could have turned, is a red light violation. I’ll go out on a limb and say he/she was probably on a cell phone. Anyone that thinks this was a legal and safe turn needs to review their driver’s manual. smh
