Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles this morning was sworn in again as Mayor, for a sixth consecutive term.
Coles, a democrat, joined the Township Committee in 2001, and in 2002 was voted in as Mayor. Since then, Coles served as Mayor in 2004, 2007, and 2008. This will be his 10th term as Mayor – half of his 20-year service to the Town.
“I truly enjoy working for the people of Lakewood, and look forward to continuing doing that,” Coles told TLS.
The meeting was held remotely.
The five-person Township Committee is comprised of three republicans and two democrats.
