  1. Keep the renters out of our neighborhoods………..its only going to get worse. Golfview and Newport area are bad news….all owned and rented by investors……..wake up

  2. Ok look around people. Common sense is whats needed. Most front doors in the rainree area is vulnerable to this problem due to having a glass panel adjacent to the doors locks. Who designed this ? The best type lock for this door design is a dead bolt lock cylinder that needs a key to operate on both sides of the lock. I own one and I keep my key in the locks cylinder when everyones home. Every one in my home is instructed

  3. We had the same type of burglary on East Seventh about a month ago. Broke in by tearing down the screen and forcing a back window. Ransacked the house, took camera, laptop, jewelry. Wondering if this/these are same person/people.

  4. its not just raintree area that the front doors have glass paneling near the door.. the new houses along county line across from the church have it too and so many other new homes…

Hopefully Brick Police Dept will catch them very soon.”

If you feel you Brick PD will do a better job You should move there. And you will see the difference. If you feel you need more “protection” Hire a private security firm. Lakewood PD does a fantastic job taking care of this town and if you feel they are not “performing up to your standards” you can always MOVE!!!
Some people are just a piece of work you do nothing to help and then you expect these people to jump through hoops when you call. The Lakewood PD is better than some of the other police depts in the area..I dont live in Lakewood but hearing people bash their own police dept just makes me sick. If you don’t appreciate them so much why did you move to Lakewood? Every town has their crime, some people need to take those steps to make sure you are not making yourself look like a victim. Lock your doors, put away your valuables, make your homes look lived in without making them a desirable target to thieves. Most time the thieves are not from Lakewood, they may have lived here at one time but most likely they are from another town.

Grow up!! Get some!! Help Lakewood PD HELP YOU!!

i feel bad you morning was ruined but i think the guy that said some thing about an about brick police thought that lanes mill is in brick as so many that dont live in the rain tree area think because many do not realize that countyline changes name to lanesmill rd at the intersection of joe parker and .this community really does respect its police officers …about you not living in lakewood i am not so sure ..if true you for sure work here

  8. lets blame it on the resource center on clifton. of course the ganavim watch who goes out and when. maybe they should stop using the internet and all would be fine. ….hear noise at my back door 1 min……

  9. Stop kvetching about the pd. Should they have an officer parked on every corner? Let’s get real. The only way to stop crime is to get the criminals out! Vehamaivin yavin… That means ALL of us. We all do our share to keep them here. Whether by employing them or their wives and friends or by renting to them. When EVERYONE does their hishtadlus with hashems help we can have a safer town untill moshiach comes bekarov.

  10. The thing about LCSW is that they cannot prove the actions of their work since it’s preventative action as oppose to, for instance, PD, Fire, Hatzolah or Chaveirim etc. Where their work is physical so they actually show for themselves.
When an LCSW member stakes out an area, keeps an eye out on a suspicious person or vehicle or advises PD to check on a specific person or vehicle that looks suspicious etc. and therefore scares the person/persons away from doing what he/they were about to do while you are sleeping comfortably in your bed. Well, then there isn’t really a way to prove to YOU how much crime they helped prevent.
But by looking at the # of crimes before and after LCSW surfaced, you will sure admit to their great contribution of the safety of your family in this town.
So how about a kind word for people who VOLUNTEER to help make this town a safer one to live in for all of us, regardless of what they can or cannot show for themselves (which I’m sure they do a ton).
So does it really bother YOU that they have walkie talkies?? It don’t seem to bother the average person so I wonder why it would bother You……..
