Rabbi Moshe Zev Weisberg on behalf of the Lakewood Vaad: Daven for the Pittsburgh massacre victims

Rabbi Moshe Zev Weisberg on behalf of the Lakewood Vaad today is asking the community to Daven (pray) for the victims of the Pittsburgh massacre victims.

“The Lakewood Vaad, on behalf of the entire Kehilla, joins in the Tzar of the families of the victims and of the greater Pittsburgh Jewish community, in mourning the tragic death of eleven innocent Acheinu Bnai Yisroel who lost their lives during Shabbos services,” Rabbi Weisberg told TLS.

He added, “In consultation with our Rabbonim, we respectfully ask the whole Kehilla including Bnai Yeshiva, Baalei Battim and their families, to Daven tomorrow L’iluy Nishmasam during the Acheinu Bnei Yisroel Tefila after Krias Hatorah, and to have them in mind when saying Tehillim.

“Unfortunately, no Jewish community or institution – anywhere in the world – is totally safe in these trying days. We remind our friends and neighbors here in Lakewood and its surrounding communities to be extra vigilant by keeping their eyes and ears open to suspicious and unusual behavior. Immediately report any such incidents to the proper authorities (Lakewood police – 732 363-0200).”

“We join with the rest of Klal Yisroel in wishing the families of the Niftorim, H”YD, our heartfelt condolences – Hamokem Yinachem Eschem B’soch Aveilei Tzion V’Yerushalayim.”
