PHOTOS: R’ Yonoson Strasser Donates Ambulance to Lakewood Hatzolah

strasser 1PHOTOS: Lakewood Hatzolah celebrated today the rollout of a new ambulance, donated by R’ Yonoson Strasser of Boro Park.

The new ambulance, to be used for BLS (Basic Life Support), is one of three new ambulances the volunteer organizations needed to to replace older ambulances which are no longer reliable, the organization says.

R’ Strasser, who has many children and grandchildren in Lakewood, cut the ribbon for the ambulance at the Heathwood Garage this afternoon, before sitting to a Yussi’s-catered meal upstairs.

The event was attended by Hatzolah members, the Strasser family, the Roshei Yeshivah, Mayor Miller and Committeeman Lichtenstein. [TLS]

  1. should be a zechus for him and his family never to need the services of Hatzalah.
On a side note, is there any plan of the old ambulances to go south of the lake?

  2. Ashrecha Reb Yonason

Why can’t the gevirum from our town take an example from Reb Yonason and start giving ambulances as well there’s no reason why lakewood hatzolah has old tzeklapte ambulances
Step up and take the coveted honor like Reb Yonason did

  3. I know R’ Yonason for many years as he davens w/ my Totty at Nitra Shul in BP. His generosity to other people is immense. Its amazing the amounts this Tzaddik gives out. Its awe-inspiring. Gor every $100k he gives b’farhesia, he gives 10x that b’tzinah. What a guy. Hatzlochah !!

  4. “ANON” Yes i did see where it says the old ambulances are unreliable. However till teh south side gets newer ambulances, this is better then nothing. (i think the closest ambulance is by rabbi gissingers shul- which can take 6-8 minutes)
