  1. I’ve seen worse. Also why is chilul Hashem the only concern? What about the safety issue and the time “stealing” issue caused by stopping in places that are unsafe to stop and/or hold up traffic flow. The hitch hikers should also choose where to hitch based on these considerations

    • yes, the tones, kol haposel… But he has a point also. Mayeb it’s more like ‘umetalmidai yoser mekulam’ – by teaching someone a lesson, he’ll learn one too!

  2. First of all, Hitchhiking in New Jersey is ILLEGAL!, you can be find $200. to $5000. and jailed for 30 to 180 days. and is a very unsafe thing for both the driver and the hiker.
