PSA: Payment to Playgroup Morahs & Babysitters

Many parents pay their Morahs and babysitters on the first of the month.

However, this year, April 1st falls on Shabbos, and many playgroups and babysitters are already off next Monday for Pesach.

These Morahs and babysitters heavy rely on this income in order to make Yom Tov, and it would mean a lot to them if they were paid this week, as they only resume their regular schedules the week of April 16th.

  1. Thank you!

It’s very embarrassing to have to remind parents to pay on time (especially when there is no school to show for it).

  2. Remember tuition and playgroups is a charge for the year. As a favour they let you divide the payments once a month as suppose to a one time payment. Let’s also not forget we’re having a morah shortage which is hitting our playgroups hard if you keep complaining you just may end up staying home a whole day watching your own children…

    • I can’t even begin to describe how disgusting this comment is. I hope that after you think about it, you will understand for yourself.

    • Tell that same comment to all the other vendors you patronized this yom tov season. Let’s see how many will give you free services.

No one said you had to tip her, just pay her by Thursday.

    • I hope no one here ever has to plead and ask their boss for their pay check at the end of the work week….. Only to hear something along the lines of what you wrote
