The Jon Bon Jovi service area has reopened, but there is still no fuel available – which has resulted in a spike of gas calls for Chaveirim.

  1. My Ruv (& senior Posek in our basement Minyan) after listening to every “Bon Jovi” album Paskened it is Assur for a Yid to patronize this rest stop as it “appears” we are supporting him. (Every time a toilet is flushed he receives a royalty).
How many Frum, Heimish Yidden have gone OTD from listening to this music?
The ones I asked ALL said Bon Jovi played a major role.
However, My Ruv (& noted Posek, he wrote the Teshuva on whether a Yid may attend a sports game if the mascot is a non kosher animal) noted due to the Bon Jovi song “Keep the faith” about maintaining Emunah, bshas hadichak one may briefly use this rest stop (as long as one does not dillydally, lolllygag, mill about, loiter, dawdle or linger).

  2. Are you sure? Bon Jovi has a jewish bandmate, and, in the past, Bon Jovi seems to have refused to cave in to the anti-Israel BDS movement. But from what I’m able to glean, Bon Jovi doesn’t appear to be Jewish. Maybe I’m wrong.

      • And even if he was Jewish, not sure that automatically makes listening to his music ok. And yes, there are unfortunately many “Jewish” singers (Jewish sounding/looking) whose albums do not conform to any Jewish religious beliefs. IYKYK.
