VIDEO MESSAGE: [UPDATED] As the first of several Primary Elections Video Messages from the candidates, TLS presents U.S. Senate Candidate Republican Bader G. Qarmout.

Quarmout, running against 3 other Republicans tomorrow, is looking to unseat longtime Democratic Senator Robert Menendez in the General Elections.

The term is a 6 year term.

Primary Elections are tomorrow, June 5.

The following is an open letter from Bader.

I am appealing to you to come out and vote for me for the Republican nomination this Tuesday June 5th.

President Reagan stated: “The Constitution of the United States was not written to protect the people of this country from religious values; it was written to protect religious values from government tyranny.”

We can work together to make President Reagan’s view a reality. As evident from the about 50,000 religious Jews who came together at Citifield, it is clear that many are very nervous about the future. I am strongly committed to reclaim America as we all know it. I will not support any infringements on our traditional family values. I support laws to protect our children from the dangers of the Internet including requiring all explicit or suggestive sites to be labeled accordingly. I will also press for all the current laws to be enforced which sadly are not being enforced. I will work vigorously to get rid of all the SHMUTZ in the public square.

As your senator I will veto any activist judicial nominee from becoming a judge, such as Mr. Bruce Harris, an activist who had the NJ establishment’s backing to become a NJ Supreme Court Judge. Unlike my challenger Mr. Kyrillos who voted today for Mr. Harris, I will oppose such nominations if they would appear on the Federal level.

We must answer the question of how to reform education in America and give our children the education they deserve and that we pay for. I strongly support school vouchers as the best way to improve schools and give parents the freedom and choice that they deserve.

I support Israel’s right to exist in peace and prosperity. Israel has an equal right to defense and security. As a sovereign nation, Israel should not ask for the right to defend itself. Israel does not need any one’s permission to exist. As your senator, I will defend and protect the only stable democracy in the Middle East.

I believe that the Menendez/Obamacare must be repealed. I support reform that would allow Americans to realize lower cost and increased doctor-patient relationship and quality of coverage. I would support interstate insurance commerce.

I support the use of Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba for the incarceration of terrorists. Unlike Senator Menendez, I would not have voted to give habeas Corpus to Gitmo detainees. I will support legislation to keep us safe and will not give in to Islamic Sharia law or radicals and extremists.

The Democratic and GOP establishment has unfortunately led us to where we are now. On many key issues they are not much different from each other. As my challenger Mr. Kyrillos has the establishment backing, I appeal for your vote. Encourage others also to vote for me and for religious freedom! I thank the many hundreds of you from the Lakewood community who have signed my petition which has made my candidacy a reality.
