  1. CHILLUL HASHEM won’t be tolerated this election, you can steal all my taxes and charge me double I won’t vote for people who make chillul hashem

  2. I refuse to vote for any of the young frum candidates unless they promise to act with mentchlichkeit. The chilul hashem caused by their immature and unprofessional manner of doing business far out weighs any of the perceived help they do for the community It time for a mature and professional board.

  3. Isn’t this telling people who to vote for? Look at the pole and say to youself these people are ahead so might as well vote them in, use your own head and do what is right for the children of the public school The board is to work for the public not private schools..

  4. I absolutely agree with # 5. Chilul Hashem should not be tolerated. The one’s who displayed that kind of behavior do not deserve a second chance.People need to speak up about this, just as they do about other issues such as tznius, teshuva, school acceptance, driving habits.. etc

  5. To coment 10: you hit the nail on the head. We as Yiddin have to go the extra mile not to make any kind of Chillel Hashem in any way.

  6. If you don’t know and cannot discuss the issues, just shout Chillel Hashem.

The only real Chillul Hashem is mindlessly and blindly voting to perpetuate one.

  7. As was already stated none ,they all failed the public school children. How can you vote for anyone on this board that has a performance of 37% graduation rate ?????????????
I vote for the State to come in and straighten out this mess.

  8. Maybe if the board did their job and worked with the teacher instead of against them we would not have a 37% graduation rate, which I do not beleive is that low. Some people are trying to make Lakewood look bad so more people take thei children out an the teachers leave the didtrict.

  9. to all those who complain about chillul hashem what quantifies something as a chillul hashem. If someone trys to steal your wallet and you make a scene to get it back is that a chillul hashem.

  10. #24 joining you in being antiestablishment is not a mehalech. Follow the Torah and be an ehrliche yid would be more appropriate

  11. The whole election is a non issue by me. Avoiding Chilul Hashem and machlokes are way more important then tax dollars that may be saved in the short term therefore I don’t vote. Other then this comment I don’t follow or read about the elections anymore but of course b’h I’m not blind I see the litter in the streets…

  12. #26 There we go again!!! Is this a question of daas torah!!!!!!!!!? This is purely a question of who will do better work for the public, and the answer to that is easily 1 – 2 – 3 (Mund, Schwartz & Silver) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. What does chillul hashem and daas thorah have to do with election I did not see not 1 rosh yesivah say a thing only letter to do what rosh hamosdos say is good for the our school, a letter from a list of some rosh mosdos supprting 1 group and an other rosh mosad & a rav supporting an other group ! Sounds like a legit diffrance of opinon , not a daas torah or chilull hashem isusse.
When people use ‘daas torah’ ‘chillul hasham’ just to sound right , you are belittleing hashem & his torah !

  14. I think that if Hashem wanted us to avoid voting, he would have shipped us back to countries where there is no voting. Like China or North Korea. Or Saudi Arabia.

Hashem wants us to vote. He placed us here in America to be a vibrant part of the democracy, and to vote for the right candidates.

Hashem also wants us to use our common sense, and to make our own decisions on who to vote for, based on our values and needs.

Do you want property taxes to go back to being raised 10% a year, like it was before great people like Jonathan Silver and Chezky Zeitler were voted in three years ago? Or do you want responsible taxes and spending, without corruption.

If these are values that you care about, then your votes will go to Mund, Schwartz, and Silver.

Use the head that Hashem gave you, and participate in the voting process that Hashem allowed you, and vote for the candidates that Hashem provided this election cycle, and elect the candidates that will continue the great Kidush Hashem that Yoni Silver started three years ago.

(Remember when Catapult still had the monopoly? Thanks to Yoni and Chezky, that monopoly is over and Yidishe kinder and mosdos have more choices. Let’s help them keep up the great work.)

  15. what rosh mosad and rav supported the other group ? I plan on voting for 1 2 and 3 because it is extremely difficult for me to pay my property taxes but I am just curious who the rav and rosh mosad are

  16. The truth is the best qualified is Lee Mund. Yoni and Joel are the other two who are most qualified.
Ms. Miccio and Grunhut vote yes to budget increases since 2000. If you want your taxes to increase vote foe them.

  17. polls mean nothing, what we need to do is have people with camera’s watching people don’t vote twice and three times.

  18. #6 IS 100 PERCENT CORRECT NO NEEDV TO SAY ANYTHING MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. If I lived in Lakwood I would vote none of the above…..This group should be ashamed that the Teachers contracts have not been upheld as was promised in the memorandum of agreement. I am not frum but are of a tradition that believes “ื•ืื”ื‘ืช ืœืจืขืš ื›ืžื•ืš”):
You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against your kinsfolk. Love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.
    โ€”Leviticus 19:18[1], the “Great Commandment”

  20. Will not vote for LAC candidates. The school board is for people that are concerned for our children’s education. The Lakewood Association Council’s only concern is lowering taxes. In my humble opinion they have no business endorsing BOE candidates if their focus is not on education.

  21. Today is the day of truth. Positive results can be achieved, provided that voters elect the candidates that are most likely to make a positive difference in the Lakewood School District without throwing more money at the budget.

Please join me in supporting Lee Mund (1A), Joel Schwartz (2A), and
Jonathan D. Silva (3A). They are the best hope for the Lakewood School District, taxpayers, students, parents, support groups, and other stakeholders.

  22. Correction to #45 – Please join me in supporting Lee Mund (1A), Joel Schwartz (2A), and Jonathan D. Silver (3A). They are the best hope for the Lakewood School District, taxpayers, students, parents, support groups, and other stakeholders.

I inadvertently misspelled Mr. Silver’s name.

  23. #46, the concerns of the opposition is to lower taxes, thats why the budget gets defeated every year. Lee Mund worked a the Morris County board of education for 20 years, are you saying he is not qualified. Is it better to have people on the BOE who follow orders.
I think you need to get a reality check. Also Silver and Schwartz are the other two best qualified candidates running.

  24. results were very much like the polls. only one big flaw, seniors are not TLS , so what you have to do is take 3% from silver and schwartz and give it to mund and and miccio

so we know now seniors are 18-20 % and not on TLS
