BREAKING: Rep. Mikie Sherrill Projected To Win The 2025 Race For Governor Of New Jersey; Full Local, County & State Races Here [UPDATED – VIDEO & PHOTOS]

The polls have now closed in New Jersey, where voters in both major parties have cast over 3 million ballots to decide who will succeed the term-limited Governor Phil Murphy.

In addition to the widely covered gubernatorial race, voters were also choosing candidates for a wide array of down-ballot offices, including all 80 seats in the State Assembly, County Board of Commissioners, Sheriff and Township Committee.

Governor:

U.S. Representative Mikie Sherrill is projected to win the race for governor of New Jersey, beating former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli.

State Assembly:

In the 30th Legislative District, which includes Lakewood and Howell, Democratic incumbent Assemblyman Avi Schnall has won re-election.

On the Republican side, in that same district, Assemblyman Sean Kean appears to have been re-elected, while former Assemblyman Ned Thomson, who sought to regain his old post, is trailing in the early returns.

In the 9th Legislative District (which includes Manchester) Republican incumbents Gregory Myhre and Brian Rumpf are ahead in the counts; in the 10th District (which includes Toms River) Republican Assemblymen Paul Kanitra and Gregory McGuckin appear to have prevailed. In the 11th District, Republican incumbents Rob Clifton and Alex Sauickie will all win another term.

County Board of Commissioners:

With two seats up for grabs on the five‐member Ocean County Board of Commissioners, community activist Sam Ellenbogen won one of the open seats (vacated by John Kelly and Virginia (Ginny) Haines), and Little Egg Harbor Committeeman Raymond Gromley secured the second open seat.

Sheriff And Municipal Races:

In the race for Ocean County Sheriff, incumbent Michael Mastronardy has easily won re-election for a third term.

At the municipal level in Lakewood, Committeeman Isaac Akerman (R) beat his Democratic opponent Harriet Goldberg for another three-year term.

In Jackson, Chris Pollak is projected to win the race for the open Council seat, beating Al Couceiro.

Lakewood Fire Commissioner:

With 45 of 47 voting districts in Lakewood reporting, Moshe Raitzik will win the race for Lakewood Fire Commissioner, ousting incumbent Larry Loigman. Challenger Eli Berger finished in second place.

Lakewood Board of Education:

Shloime Stern and Meir Grunhut have won their races and the third, open seat will have to be called after all mail ballots are counted.

This is a developing story and will be updated

And while we are on this subject I want to thank TLS for doing the right thing and not (never) compromising on their standards of kedusha. Other Jewish sites have since posted a compromising picture of her that in my view doesn’t belong on a site that caters to many that would rather not see such pictures. It seems because she won the race, somehow all the גדרי צניעות don’t matter anymore..

Wow, somebody seems desperate for a picture…..

We don’t loose out by doing what is right. Lakewood proved to be a massive block vote. No candidate is ever secured for reelection and they start at it on day one of their term. Lakewood will be considered heavily in her state agenda.

shmendrik

Highly doubtful. Her entire agenda is anti Torah. From expanding access to abortion on demand. Toeiva open in the streets of NJ. Then raising taxes on what already is unaffordable. In what way is she going to help Torah observant Jews?

Nope I don’t believe it.
They were bomb threats that emptied out entire voting stations. And they were in Republican favored districts.
The kind of sick games that are being played…
There were also ballot handed to voters that were pre-filled in pen for her.
I have not seen an honest election in New Jersey New York or Pennsylvania in a very long time. The stories are more and more outlandish and in your face every single election cycle.

So don’t believe it. Doesn’t matter what you think. She won fare and square PERIOD. This is problem a lot of people (mostly Republicans) have: When an Election result is not what they like they start screaming “RIGGED!” or “It was stolen”. She won by 12.5 points- a Blowout, so learn to accept election results whether you like them or not. And never would you ever claim an election was “stolen” or that there was cheating if a Republican wins.

whatever
Reply to  SSS

Let’s be honest- both sides have same problem. The Democrats could not believe that Trump won in 2016, and came up with all sorts of conspiracy theories; Trump did the same when he lost in 2020

SSS
Reply to  whatever

It’s obvious that it’s mostly on the Republican side (and I wish it wasn’t). Hillary Clinton conceded 2016. Harris conceded 2024. Did Trump concede 2020? No. And it wasn’t, and isn’t, just Trump, it’s many, many Republicans who believe 2020 election was rigged and who believe that other elections were rigged (see above comment). And there are not many democrats who go around saying any election was rigged, whether you like that or not. And I know I’ll see many people here who will say “2020 ACTUALLY WAS RIGGED!” It wasn’t. Period ⚫️

Hillary faught, and congress brought in “fake electors”. Democrats did the same in 2000 and 2004. They did it in 2016 and 2024. Democrats did it to Reagan and Bush 41.

Total lie. Hillary (who I’m no fan of btw), did NOT fight all!!! She CONCEDED on the DAY she lost on November 9, 2016. Fact. Whether you like that or not, don’t LIE. And what fake electors in 2024? That is what Trump tried in 2020. MAGA doesn’t seem to accept reality for what it is.

They attacked police officers, smashed windows, wanted to hang Mike Pence and other horrible stuff!!! UNDEFENSABLE, I’M SORRY!!!

Obviously many of us are saddened while not surprised that Jack lost. He worked so hard this time around and deserved to win. It would have been a great 4 years with his leadership in Trenton. His loss aside, which is a big loss for Lakewood and the surrounding towns, is dealing with the Dems the next 12 months. Given their success in picking up some wins tonight they are going to try (and perhaps succeed with the help of the bias media) to make this about Trump and that Trump is a drag on his party and somehow it’s all Trump’s fault, and they are going to run with this false narrative all through the midterm elections..

And trump would be standing on a marble staircase(because we all know that he has issues with escalators) blowing a golden trumpet claiming he was the reason any rep he endorsed won. He has done it before, claiming many times that his endorsement was why the candidate won. It’s a double edged sword my friend. Btw, he has already stated overnight that the reasons for reps not winning is because he wasn’t on the ballot. And now here come all the thumbs down because I spoke the easily confirmed facts about the king.
