  1. In order to know who won the debate, you first need to know what “winning” means?

For Obama, he had to do “better” than the first debate, just so that his base shouldn’t totally give up on him. Relative to the first debate, any excitement on his part would be considered “winning”. Yes, Obama won.

For Romney, he already showed America in the first debate that he is capable of leading America out of this crisis. All he needed to do was “not lose”, so that he can continue the momentum that he had from his first debate. Yes, Romney won.

Obama had lost his base in the first debate, and he needed to get them back on board. He played to his base in the second debate, and he won them back.

Romney solidified his base in the first debate, and began to win over independents too. He needed to continue his momentum with the independents in the second debate, and he did that too.

Net result of both debates: Romney’s momentum continues.

  2. NEITHER! Ron Paul is the only candidate who is legit & wants to stop gov. wasting our $ & get the country out of debt besides protecting our rights under the constitution. Do your h.w. people then you’ll know why the media has completely ignored him & fudged the #s in the polls. They’re scared because he speaks the truth & they don’t want him in office.

  3. Fact: when people answer the “who won the debate” question, they will 98% of the time choose the candidate they prefer, not necessarily the one who debated better (as evidenced by this poll).

  4. to Geshmakalypse:
I guess according to your statistic of 98% the first debate was the 2% Cause even obama didnt think he won! I would say if its a draw then “98%” would choose their canidate

  5. I THINK THE CANDY AND OBAMA WON ON STYLE- IT SEEMS AS THEY BOTH PLANNED IT OUT AND IT WAS CANDY AND OBAMA AGAINST ROMNEY WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ROMNEY TO WIN THEREFORE THE WORK THAT ROMNEY WAS ABLE TO SHOW LAST NIGHT I WOULD GIVE HIM A HUGE WIN BECAUSE IF ANYONE ELSE WOULDHAVE BEEN IN ROMNEYS POSITION LAST NIGHT THEY WOULDHAVE GOTTEN 0% THAT ROMNEY DID BETTER INSTEAD ROMNEY GOT 33%
    LETS GO MITT!!!!!!!

  6. to #3. You and the other Ron Paul supporters are delusional and are giving obama four more years. the bottom line is that obama made 6 trillion in debt. Romney has a 25 year business backround and a history of balancing budgets. Ron Paul ppl like you are planning to do a ‘write in’ for paul. There is no chance ever for a President to win by write in. So in essiants, you are taking away Romney supporters to Paul who has not chance of winning- now or ever.

  7. to #11 mitt cares about building people, not like obama who just wants everyone dependent on him so he can play big man.. obama plays with your head mitt really cares about the economy

  8. #11 genius

Actually, Obama doesn’t care about you at all. He’ll promise you as much of my tax money as possible, just so that you’ll vote for him. If he really cared about you, he wouldn’t be promising you more food stamps which will keep you in poverty forever. He would instead promise you a job, or the opportunity to start a business, so that you can support your family with dignity (like Romney wants).

But no. Obama can’t have that, because then you wouldn’t feel beholden to him. He needs you to live off the food stamps that he so compassionately takes from my tax money. That way you will forever be indebted to him, and you will forever vote for him and his party.

He REALLY cares about you, right?

But let’s discuss this whole “caring” business.

Nobody is voting for a president who supposedly cares about you. In fact, none of the candidates care about you personally, as they’ve never even met you. Your parents are the ones that are supposed to care about you.

The point of a president is not to care about you. The president is supposed to enact policies that will ensure that all Americans can prosper freely. And Romney’s policies of encouraging businesses to prosper will definitely help Americans, because propsering businesses hire workers.

Obama’s policies, on the other hand, are discouraging businesses from hiring, and instead encouraging people to remain on government programs and poverty for life.

If you are looking for someone to “care” about you, call your mommy.

  9. Ron Paul is NOT a libertarian. He is simply an independent – which is why he has been pushed off to wayside, because he refuses to go along with the gov. agenda.
