1. I’m totally in favor of allowing them to obtain a Driver Lisence…. IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY ONCE THEY ARE SENT BACK!!!

3. How does this even make sense? How is this a question? How is this even debatable? If people are here illegally why are we giving them benefits and encouraging them to stay and encouraging more to come they are breaking the law and we reward them by giving them drivers licenses how insane is this?

4. Forget about Driver Lisences! I think the fact that ileagals are not allowed to run for president is so Racist!!! They are human just like every other american! Why can’t an ileagal immigrant be President of the USA??! For the life of me I don’t understand why???

5. it at least documents them gives them a chance to drive legally and perhaps to insure they follow other rules of the road, ie insurance, speed, signage. It also allows us to keep tabs on their wherabouts and make sure they are following other rules like immigration regulation. Once the fear of documentation is aleviated other forms of documentation become possible and it educates their compadres…

7. Yes! If illegals we permitted to get drivers licenses we would be able to gather their pictures and other important info about them. This info can be used to help solves crimes and hold them accountable for their actions. Currently, illegals have no paper-trail thereby allowing them to run from an accident and not get caught.

8. No! This will eventually help justify their acceptance. Every illegal that comes across the boarder is a slap in the face to those who are waiting and waited to get in legally. Also, for everyone who receives some kind of assistance from our governments, that is less money available for legal residences.

9. Undocumented immigrants will drive out of necessity whether they can obtain licenses or not. If we let them obtain licenses, they will have to buy liability insurance for any accidents they cause. If they can’t get a license, they can’t get insurance and the cost will be borne by those who have uninsured motorist coverage instead of those who caused the accident.

10. It’s going to be a waste of time and money. The Donald is going to ship them all out on January 21st 2017.

11. I don’t understand how people are saying that if you give the illegals drivers licenses then they can be tracked down. They should not be here in the first place they should all be deported we should never have to track them down ever

12. My cleaning help told me that there is a whole underground hispanics system in maryland and for around $6000 they get Maryland DL thats IN the system under a ALIAS . This is what most of them are doing. Much better off given them licenses ,requiring insurance etc. Its obvious they ant being deported so we have to deal with the issue and at least get them documented , income wise, insurance wise,benefit wise etc .

13. There is no way these illegals will be rounded up and sent back from where they came from. We can’t keep track of government spending nevermind needles in a haystack!

14. How can we trust them to follow traffic laws when so many of them are illiterate? They can’t read the signage nor the drivers manual. Unless the govt wants to make signs in dual languages like in Arizona…

    • And how much would the dual signage cost the tax payers? this is all about getting future votes
