A poll released by Monmouth University on Monday found that over two-thirds of registered voters in New Jersey support Governor Murphy’s executive order mandating that face masks be worn in schools.
According to the poll, 67% of registered voters, and 69% of parents, support the requirement for school students, teachers, and staff wear face masks during the upcoming school year. 53% would also support a mandate for school students over the age of 12 to be vaccinated.
Additionally, just 48% of poll respondents say schools should be fully open for in-person instruction while 39% say that schools should have a mix of in-person and remote learning.
The support for masks in schools is sharply divided on ideological lines. 86% of Democrats said they support the measure, 58% of independents support it, but just 28% of Republicans say they back the mandate.

This poll is about as accurate as the election results. It’s inconceivable that 69% of parents thinks this is a good idea.
