1. As it stands now, it wouldn’t be smart for Booker to run against Christie in the upcoming election since Christie’s approval ratings are through the roof so why waste Booker’s candidacy on a suicide run. The Democrats will most likely send up a no-name candidate this time and enable Booker to wait for a more opportune time to run for Gov.

   I would like to share my personal view on next year’s race for Governor. Gov. Chris Christie is very popular both on the state and on the national level. He is virtually a guarantee in next year’s elections. Although some people might argue that there are no ‘guarantees ‘ in politics, I believe in this case there is. That is because the Democrats have no suitable candidate to run against Christie. Cory Booker will NOT run against Christie. They have too close of a working as well as personal relationship to fight out a battle. Booker will most likely run for the seat of Senator Frank Lautenberg. Lautenberg is 88 years old and will almost certainly be retiring in 2014. This would leave the race wide open for Booker to run and almost certainly win. I am therefore certain that Gov Chris Christie will cruise to re-election come Nov. 6 2013. I only hope that this time ALL of Lakewood will support the Governor for all the great work that he has done for us in the past.

5. Political science not needed just come to the coffee room for a few days and you will gain all the experience and political science needed. Does nayone know about what happened recently in Newark? There was a semi-riot at city council when Mayor Booker tried to hijack the hearings with stuffing his cronies into a vacant seat. Look into it….. Booker has plenty of political baggage..but that never stopped anyone from winning like Jesse Jackson Jr…

6. For the record, political baggage never stopped any democrat from winning. They don’t have to explain their past short comings.

7. Booker would have had many of the people already back in their shore homes especially lavalette.

8. let us not forget that Booker was one of two people that wrote the platform for this years democrat convention. Meaning he took JERUSALEM out of the platform!!

10. if your poll was done in Essex county or Camden the results would be over whelming in Booker’s favor. A poll done in Lakewood means nothing in the overall scheme of politics. If you recall the last Governors election many of Lakewood’s top voices backed Corzine.

11. i’d like to see Sweeney go against Christie i’d vote for Sweeney only because hes pro gun and Christie is a rabid anti

12. How about shiala oviler?? Then obama would come down to campaign for her like he did for corzine 5 TIMES, only to lose….
