Does commenting count as texting? If not, my response would be ‘no’, if yes, my answer would be ‘yes’. Please clarify the question, so I can respond to the poll correctly. Thanx.
P.S.: Wow, this is crazy! I almost hit a pedestrian! The stupid guy was commenting on his smart phone browser while crossing the street. Luckily, someone pulled him out of harm’s way just seconds before I finished writing MY comment.
How could anyone answer yes? Ain Adm Maisim Atzmo Rasha
Because of arrogance and an inflated sense of self. They think they’re so good at texting and driving that nothing bad will ever happen to them, and if something bad does happen, they just don’t care who they hurt.
I don’t text because my Ruv spoke about. The Ruv said if you remember to the beginning the Rabbonim were very against texting. So a Yid who strives to live “lfnei meshuras” should not text at all. I understand not everyone is at my level but you should know about this Inyan.
Anyway when I drive I hold my phone. Wearing a Bloothtooth looks very Goyish. Besides I’m sure in the zchus of my Torah learning (full time Kollel) Hashem will protect me.
Do you have a long beard as well as an added zchus?
I don’t use my phone when I drive, I leave it the house
If you text while driving you are a potential murderer and a full-fledged meshugana
Stay off the road please
al pi halocha, is someone texting while driving a roidef?
He/she is not religious if they choose to text & drive.
